Whittier Primary School is one of 25 schools statewide that have been awarded participation in the state’s three-year Bicentennial STEM Fusion Program.
The program overseen by the Illinois Math and Science Academy is a teacher development initiative for math and science.
It focuses on teachers and students in grades four through eight to stimulate careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
