4G STEM Camp

4G STEM Camp introduces girls entering sixth, seventh, and eighth grade to careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The camp includes 5 days of hands-on activities, lab experiments, and field trips to area businesses offering STEM-related careers. The next 4G STEM Camp is set for June 24-28, 2019. Camp meets at Bradley University and includes tours at Advanced Medical Transport, Illinois American Water, The Nature Conservancy at Emiquon, Universtiy of Illinois - Springfield, and more. STEM Bootcamp for Girls

The Society of Women Engineer's (SWE) STEM Bootcamp will continue the trend set in 2016 with a fun and educational Saturday workshop focusing on careers in engineering, hands-on experiments, and peer interaction to promote problem-solving and self-esteem.  This event will feature engineering speakers and an interactive experiment. Resources for career exploration will also be shared and girls will participate in mock interviews to help prepare them for future internship and job interviews. The camp includes 5 days of hands-on activities, lab experiments, and field trips to area businesses offering STEM-related careers. The 2018 camp meets at Bradley University and includes tours in Peoria to JUMP Simulation, Advanced Medical Transport, Caterpillar, and CSE Software plus a day in Havana to Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon, University of Illinois-Springfield and The Nature Conservancy in Illinois.
